When his father's company went bankrupt, Dale Jackson was in debt. As he wanders helplessly in the midst of the Great Depression, a strange proposal comes to him. Unable to pass up the opportunity to work for the Baskervilles, the richest man in New York, Dale finally accepts the offer.
"Dale, be a good dog."
'You're sounding like a good dog. I'm a man!'
Dale grew up in a conservative Puritan family. To him, Charlotte's demands seem absurd.
"Nice, aren't you? Lick it."
"Dogs don't wear clothes. I'll take it off."
"Dale, you're going to need a lot of training."
But Dale's body responds steadily to the woman's commands, and his consciousness, once immoral, sinks to the bottom.
'Charlotte... Break me even more,'
