After defeating the Demon King and returning to the royal capital, the warrior Rude and the mage Feri look back on their journey, realize their feelings for each other, marry, and move to a lush rural territory granted to them by the kingdom. Monsters they meet in the mountains and fields become firstclass ingredients in the hands of this couple who have survived countless brushes with death, and their days are packed with things they want to do: cooking, fishing, remodeling their log house, even digging hot springs. Free from political ties and obligations, their laidback married life becomes so fulfilling that even their old comradesthe hero Flemith and his wife in the capitalenvy them. The battle is over; now begins the carefree slow life of a warrior and a mage enjoying happiness in the countryside.
